We proudly take over from Natasja, who has enjoyed running the B&B for many years. The property, which is recognizable by its blue shutters, is probably familiar to you from the popular TV show B&B Vol Liefde. This featured Natasja as a candidate in 2022. With just as much enthusiasm, we are going to make you feel at home here and fully enjoy a wonderful stay. We look forward to welcoming you to this special place.

Get away from it all

Just above Le Mans and close to Alençon, in the Perche/Normandy region, Le Moulin en Route lies between two beautiful natural areas. A characteristic water mill transformed in 2018 into an atmospheric place to relax. Ideal as a stopover during your trip, but also perfect to stay a few days longer.

Located in the cultural heart of France, Le Moulin en Route is an excellent base. Explore the famous castles and cathedrals route or visit charming towns such as Le Mans, Mortagne-au-Perche, Bellême and the artists’ village of La Perrière.

The vast lake and forest area offers plenty of biking, hiking and canoeing. Visit the cycling museum Le Musée du Vélo or play golf just a few kilometers away.

Our rooms

In the mill house you will find 4 beautiful, spacious bedrooms on the first and second floor. Please note! The rooms are unfortunately difficult to reach for people with mobility problems. The rooms are equipped with box spring beds for optimal comfort. Each room has a private bathroom, with bath or shower, sink and toilet. Everything is aimed at making your stay as pleasant as possible.

Cozy living rooms and wonderful outdoor living

Op de benedenverdieping zijn 2 woonkamers die je deelt met de andere gasten. Perfect om lekker te relaxen met een drankje, een boek, of een gezellig spelletje. Hier staan ook koelkasten waar je zelf je drankjes kan pakken. Alles voor een heerlijk thuisgevoel! Buiten is een fijn terras waar je rustig kunt genieten van de mooie omgeving.

Ook is er een ruime overkapping met een fijne buitenkeuken. Aan de lange tafel kan je al bij de eerste zonnestralen heerlijk genieten van je ontbijt. Is de temperatuur in de avond nog aangenaam, dan eten we hier ook. Of we steken gezellig de vuurkorf aan voor een heerlijke avond en genieten we van de mooie sterrenhemel.

The garden – pure enjoyment

Surrounding the mill is the beautiful garden with a stream and an attractive little lake. Perfect for a little fishing or with a little luck spotting a kingfisher. And how nice, recently there are also 2 turtles swimming around.

Throughout the garden are cozy seating areas where you can relax with a snack and a drink. Enjoy!
